Wish this is a setting for my dream every night (apparently I’m on “green” phase)
Quarry Garden | Shanghai Botanical Garden
Landscape Architecture: THUPDI & Tsinghua University, Beijing
Location: Songjiang District, Shanghai, China
This project is so gorgeous because I think the design perfectly blended into the natural landscape. And for what I see in the photos, the finishing project looks amazing considering the place was deemed difficult for construction. I will love to visit this one day.

Music’s the only thing that makes sense anymore, man. Play it loud enough, it keeps the demons at bay.

Across The Universe (2007) | Julie Taymor
I don’t usually hear other musician covers The Beatles songs, because they’ve done such an amazing job with their music so every cover of it will be sounds pale in comparison. But I do enjoy the music on this movie and really love it when Bono sings ‘I am The Walrus’. I think this movie is tailor made for hardcore The Beatles fans, just don’t be a snob and you can appreciate those little details they throw in the movie. On some parts they make reference to The Beatles songs or using the lyrics as dialogue. And it’s fun trying to guess which song they take it from.
Long-lost Polaroids shot by Andy Warhol from 1970 onward — initial reference points for his coveted silk prints. These shots of Tina, Liza Minnelli, Diane and Diana, Yoko and John, Dolly, Debbie and Andy himself are only a handful of over 150 found in neglected archives.
“For Daisy was young and her artificial world was redolent of orchids and pleasant, cheerful snobbery and orchestras which set the rhythm of the year, summing up the sadness and suggestiveness of life in new tunes. All night the saxophones wailed the hopeless comment o the ‘Beale Street Blues’ while a hundred pairs of golden and silver slippers shuffled the shiny dust. At the grey tea hour there were always rooms that throbbed incessantly with this low, sweet fever, while fresh faces drifted here and there like rose petals blown by the sad horns around the floor.”
The Great Gatsby (2013) | Baz Luhrmann
This is the movie that I’ve been waiting for. And I’m not disappointed by it. Although I do realize that this one is been very polarize for people, some said this is a great one while other said it’s sucks. The costumes are GREAT, as a big fan of Jazz age era, I do want every costumes in this movie. And then there’s the music, when I saw the trailer I was a bit perplexed how can you make a movie about Jazz age with a rap song. But then when I watch the movie it’s completely makes sense. Gatsby’s party supposed to be decadence, shocking and a bit surreal. As jazz for that age, but over the years jazz image kinda soften up and become more sophisticated than decadence. So yeah it’s good decision Mr. Luhrmann. And there’s of course Carey Mulligan as Daisy, I do believe she’s perfect as Daisy, the reckless childlike attitude with romantic perceptive and faux innocence. She has it all. Daisy is not a monster, she just a realistic woman. Tom loves her for what she is, albeit he’s a cheater and an asshole while Gatsby only see her as some sort of idolized version of what he wants in life. I’m pretty sure Daisy and Gatsby relationship will be completely falling apart if they really runaway together.
I just don’t care about roses and blings. Or all those sweet talks and serenade. Just promise me to always give me the truth.
Enric Miralles was a great architect who sadly died at a very young age (45 y.o). It will be a very long post if I tell the reasons why I think he’s a genius. Anyway, his character and even his love life was a long time curiousity of mine (he was Carme Pinos’ lover, another of my favourite architect). So imagine to my delight when I find this article about Enric Miralles house. Now, just look at that amazing library of him!

Relationship need a lot of courage. For a person as private as me, it kinda scared me. A lot. And being told that I can just express all my fears pretty much the best thing anyone can say to me.
Thank you for that. And please be patient with me, I still learning how to walk this road.
